Workshop on unfolding the unconscious

Description

Within every women and within every man there lives a powerful force filled with good instincts, passionate creativity, and ageless knowing.

This powerful force is the wild women archetype who represents our instinctual nature that keeps unfolding in many myths fairy tales and stories…

This workshop is inspired by clarissa pinkola estes’s remarkable book “women who run with the wolves “

This workshop will be about women, and men and their personal stories reflected through the stories in the book. It’s about deep learning, relating with each other and the self through stories of the wild psyche and our instinctual freedom which has been lost, in to which needs to be reclaimed by us.

This workshop is about playfulness that transports us through stories towards transformation of our psyche.

Content or flow of the workshop

Day – 1

• Introduction to the workshop and to each other in a playful manner

• Opening ritual

• Introducing the play field where the wolves dance( the play world )

• The wild woman and archetypes unpacked(la loba ) the wolf woman

• Stages of life and the stories that accompany with the stages of life

• The story of initiation (first story )

• Performing parts of the story through movement

• Reflecting on the performance through art and visuals

• Extrapolation to real life

Day – 2

• The birth of intuition as “seeing “the second story

• Reflection and extrapolation and expression in the play world through materials, creating miniature worlds

• Union with the other “duality “the third story

• Expression with text and interplay

• Reflections with questions

• When the heart is a lonely hunter (transforming the shadows to gold)

• Shadow puppetry as expressions

• Reflections and expressions

Day -3

• Returning to oneself – the last story

• Dance of the body to express the return to home of the self

About the Artist

Vikramjeet Sinha is an Arts based therapist , an Arts based Educator and a Dramatist . He has 26 years of work experience in the social development sector and in the field of Arts for Psycho -social change.

Qualification and work experience

Vikram holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Mumbai Jai hind college . M.A in Social Anthropology from Delhi School of Economics. He is trained as an arts-based therapy from the WCCL (world Centre for creative learning)

Vikramjeet has many other professional qualifications, which includes his training in Clinical Hypnotherapy from Californian School of Hypnosis, trainings in Somatic healing .He also holds a five year diploma on water color therapy from the art loft in the Margeret haushcka school of art therapy based on the principals of Rudolph Steiner. (Anthroposophy)

Vikramjeet Sinha is the founder of BOAT (Building on art therapy) The organization works with Arts based project across a vast and diverse spectrum of society , Boat specializes work in conflict areas and with children who are affected by difficult circumstances )

BOAT has also conducted Arts based therapy courses in collaboration with Kathakar trust (New Delhi 2017 ), and Bodhita (Thane ) 2018 and on its own in, central Kashmir (2018 )

Vikram through BOAT creates spaces of holding and of process work with the creative arts and calls these process Natya Bodh or Theatre of consciousness A special third space of creative group work for communities to work on themselves{Self –awareness processes } .

In the fields of theatre he has directed about fifty plays , out of which 25 plays are from the heritage sister schools . Five years ago Vikram formed Abhivyakti in Heritage school Gurgaon as a course for senior students To help then embody different kinds of philosophy , psychology through Drama .
